2017 Christmas Photos

ON ME:  Lace blouse: Pink Blush | Jeans: Marshalls (can’t find exact pair, but they’re ankle length with a zipper on the sides & mid rise | Booties: DSW | Watch: Daniel Wellington (use code “BLOOMWITHSTYLE” for 15% off – even gift sets! | Earrings: T.J. Maxx

ON ROYCE: Plaid shirt: Ross (similar here) | Jeans: (came with outfit) | Shoes: Adidas

Photos are something SO special to me, and I think a big reason behind that is because my family never got photos taken when I was younger (only school photos of myself and my brother). I was always jealous of my friends whose families sent out Christmas cards!

So let’s cut to the chase – YES, I am really, really late on getting Christmas photos. I’m ordering through Walgreens rather than a “nicer” print shop because they do same day printing and I’ll be able to get them out ASAP. Although we’re behind, I figured I’d still send them to friends & family because I believe the whole point of doing Christmas cards & photos is to give your loved ones a photo of your family to cherish for years to come. With that being said, I don’t think they will care if they arrive before or after Christmas!

I hope you & your family have an amazing holiday season and a wonderful New Year! Don’t forget to check out this page with all my favorite NYE looks, office decor, & activewear. I don’t know about you, but one thing I definitely want to work on in 2018 is getting my butt in the gym more! I’m also hosting an AMAZING giveaway for any fashion lover on the 26th so don’t forget to stop by and enter. Trust me, you won’t want to miss it!

LIKEtoKNOW.it & Shopping My Blog

Surprisingly enough, many of you guys don’t know how to use LIKEtoKNOW.it or even what it is. I’m about to make your life a whole lot easier (or your shopping addiction a lot worse)!

Ever wish you could tap on an image and buy the products on it? Basically, that’s what you can do with this app. If you don’t want to use the app, you can get emails on the products featured in an image from your favorite bloggers. I love the LIKEtoKNOW.it app so much, but the emails make it really easy to forward your favorites to others… hint hint, your significant other 😉

What it is

LIKEtoKNOW.it is an app + website that enables you to shop influencer images from social networks like Instagram and across the mobile web. Bloggers tag products in their images and LIKEtoKNOW.it delivers the ready-to-shop product details to you via the LIKEtoKNOW.it app and email when you screenshot or ‘like’ an image on social media or the mobile web. You can also get different looks daily when you’re on the LTK.it app on the “Discover” page (which is essentially the same as the Instagram discovery feed, but shoppable). If you purchase an item through a blogger’s link on LTK.it, they may receive a small commission.

How to use it

I’m literally going to walk you through it step by step to make it as easy as possible to understand! I do have an iPhone but the LTK.it app is also available on Android!

1. Go to the App Store (or Google Play) and search for LIKEtoKNOW.it. Follow your phone’s instructions on how to install, then open up the app.2. Sign up to make an account, then go under your account settings and connect your Instagram. I promise, it’s completely safe! After you link your Instagram, anytime you “like” or screenshot an image on Instagram that is on LTK.it, it’ll show up on your home page in the app or you’ll receive an email with the products listed. If you want to search for looks and follow your favorite bloggers to find them all in one place, continue with the steps below.

3. Use the microscope to search for different users. Most of your favorite bloggers have their LTK.it usernames as the same as their Instagram name. You can find and follow me by searching “Bloomwithstyle”!

4. Now you’re on my page! You’ll see a gallery of different images I’ve made shoppable. Click on any image and be directed to products underneath that I’ve featured.

5. Once you click on an image, you can scroll down and see a list of different products. I try to link the exact items as much as I can, but due to popularity, many sell out QUICK. I also shop a lot at stores like T.J. Maxx where their in store inventory won’t be the same as online and every store is different. That’s why I’ll always link similar items so you can other options to recreate the look!

Shop my blog

Now I figured I’d add this in because I know a lot of people are confused. Under the images on my fashion posts, I will have a mini paragraph where I link all the items shown. This is where you’ll find the EXACT item I have, if I can. At the end of the post, I have a little widget that’s a slideshow of different products I’ve featured or mentioned. Sometimes they are the exact item, and sometimes they aren’t. I usually link a few similar items here as well. Like I said before, if you’re looking for the exact item, check the links under the images first.

You can also shop my LTK.it images by clicking on the last button in my social media handles bar as shown!

Hope that helps you if you had questions on how to shop my blog! Thank you for supporting Bloom With Style by making purchases through my links. Happy shopping!

My Favorite Everyday Sweater & Bag

Sweater: Pink Blush | Jeans: T.J. Maxx | Booties: Zooshoo | Sunglasses: Diff Eyewear | Tote: Barrington Gifts | Earrings: Target (old)

If you have that one piece in your closet that you wish you had in every color and could wear for the rest of your life, then you know how I feel about this sweater! I bought one and loved the fit so much that I went back and literally got every color except one (only because I have a different sweater in the same color). You can wear it off the shoulder to one side or the “regular” way on both. It’s so comfy and cozy that I usually wear it how I am here with jeans and booties and go home and change into pajama pants for the evening!

As for my bag, I feel the same way! I wear it all the time and although it was definitely a splurge, it’s something I’ve wanted for months and couldn’t stop thinking about. I wear it probably 4 days a week because it’s so big it also serves as Royce’s diaper bag. I can fit two bottles inside of the pockets, about 5-10 diapers, his wipes, my wallet, planner, and makeup bag ALL in this tote. This would be a great gift idea as well for a college student because I also take this bag with when I need to bring my laptop and bigger planner with me. It’s definitely the one bag I think every girl needs!

Last thing: My booties shown are now on sale for under $35. I’ve linked a bunch of my favorite cozy sweaters(under $50) and similar booties below. I’m trying to get as much wear out of my booties as possible before snow hits the ground!

The 2017 Holiday Gift Guide Every Girl Will Love

2017 Gift Guide Every Girl Will Love

It’s that time of the year again! I’m posting my favorite items that I know you’ll love too and rounding them up into a gift guide! Go ahead and send this to your boyfriend, husband, parents, or even your bff… these items aren’t just Christmas related – they’re perfect for winter and beyond!

The pink coat from J. Crew (which will be perfect for a Valentine’s day date!) is one I’ve seen on different types of women and looks great on every one of them. I picked up a similar version at Loft last year but in an eggplant color and always get compliments when I wear it!

I’ve been needing a new pair of sneakers that are practical and comfy but still cute. These white and gold Nike Roshe Runs should be on your list because 1. They’re less than $60 so they won’t break the bank, and 2. They’re one of the only pairs of shoes I can wear all day and my feet don’t hurt me!

The gold monogram bracelet is my #1 favorite item because it’s more personal, and you can either get the recipients initial on it, or yours (if you’re cheesy like me ;). I may be getting one with an R one it for Royce because treat yo’self!

If you’re still stumped on ideas, think about who you’re shopping for and places they go on a weekly or monthly basis – gift cards to the nail/hair salon are useful and ALWAYS appreciated. They are also more special than a Starbucks gift card or prepaid Visa giftcard because it shows you remember the salon they always go to!

Drop your favorite gift guide item in a comment below, or the best gift you’ve ever received for Christmas!

Casual in Camo

Pink Blush Jacket Camo Scarf Old Navy Target Velvet Sneakers

Jacket: c/o Pink Blush (camel shown, also comes in cream) | Scarf: Old Navy (sold out, similar here) | Striped tee: Old Navy | Velvet Sneakers: Target | Jeans: Old Navy | Sunglasses: c/o Diff Eyewear (up to 50% off for Black Friday from 11/23-11/27) Photos: Brown Eyes Photography

It’s been a while since I’ve done an outfit post and I’ll admit that one huge reason behind that is my lack of “cute” outfits. When I think of outfits to post on here, I usually try to put together something really eye-catching that I wouldn’t wear every day, but I know you probably want practical, casual outfits too! It’s hard to dress up every day (nor do I want to!) but I truly feel SO much better when I wear something other than a baggy shirt and leggings, even if it’s still comfy and relaxed!

Lately when I’ve been shopping I’ve been looking for pieces that I can get more use out of, so this jacket from Pink Blush is a must for every girls closet! It’s more of a shirt jacket and great for layering and super soft. I’ve also worn the striped long sleeve shirt from Old Navy underneath about four times since buying it last month and I plan to buy more in different color options! Every time I go there I end up with way more than I planned on getting, but they have the best basic tees and are ALWAYS running a sale so naturally it’s become one of my favorite stores – Check out this post featuring a ton of their items too.

You may have seen I mentioned that Diff Eyewear is having an awesome Black Friday sale! I love Diff and how much they give back to others, and of course, how cute their sunnies are! What are your favorite Black Friday sales to go to each year? I’m definitely going to take advantage of the deals this year to save on presents for Royce and would love to hear your suggestions!

Ways To Style A Statement Scarf

Tee: Old Navy | Scarf: Old Navy | Jeans: Old Navy | Booties: DSW | Purse: Ross | Necklace: 2911 Design Co

Welcome to Mom Style Monday, a monthly link party where my fellow stylish mamas and I share our favorite outfits and trends! There’s a new theme every month so be sure to join in next month with your own Mom Style! This month we’re sharing our favorite fall scarves and how we style them!

I absolutely love scarves and styling them in different ways. I had a phase where I only wore infinity scarves… then it turned into blanket scarves, and now I’m loving lightweight scarves simply tossed around my neck! This scarf is from Old Navy and under $20 – but I scored it when they were having a sale and it was marked down to $10!

Old Navy has been my JAM lately. My entire look minus the booties is from there – if you get their emails, you’ll know that they’ve been having some super good deals so that’s why I keep going back! I also got these booties when DSW had 25% off everything. I’m loving them so much that I might snag them in another color!

Side note: I originally paired this look with white sweater but it was in the high 80s all weekend long. There was NO way I could take photos in that, but this look will be perfect with an off the shoulder sweater too!

Now it’s time to link up! Share your favorite fall scarf style (or any recent outfit post) and be sure to comment on at least one other blog post in the party! Then join us next month (the last Monday of every month) for our next theme: Fall vests!

Graco Stroller Pink Blush Dress

Graco Stroller Pink Blush Dress Mom Baseball Cap

Dress: c/o PinkBlush | Shoes: DSW | Stroller: Graco | Hat: 2911 Design Co. | On Royce: Carters

Who else is pumped that it’s football season? I’ll admit that I’m much more of a basketball fan (Go Bulls!) but I love how hyped up football season is – the barbecues, tailgates, brews… I could go on and on!

I’ve always been that girl who wants to dress up if I’m watching the game at someone’s house even if everyone else is wearing a jersey. This dress is PERFECT for the modern boy mom and wearing to a game! I love how stylish it is but  it’s still super casual – it ties up in the front making it look super sporty and like you’re wrapping another top around your waist! I wore it with sneakers and a baseball cap but I’ve also worn it with sandals. It’s also SO flattering – I have such a square/boxy body shape (at least I think so) and this makes me look like I have more curves than I actually do. I’ve worn it three times already and got compliments on it EVERY time!

On another note… Royce is 9 months… can you believe it? I know I’ll probably say this every month but time is flying by and soon he’ll be a year old! It’s the best feeling and also the saddest. He’s already falling asleep without me needing to rock him and very close to walking. He can stand up on his own in his crib or pack & play and lets go of the rail and stands without his hands for a few seconds before falling down. It’s so fun to watch! I’m already planning his first birthday party and know I’ll spend WAY too much money for a party he won’t even remember.

Don’t forget I’ll have a fall themed Mom Style Monday link up at the end of this month featuring scarves! I recently went shopping and found THE cutest one that I can’t wait to share. Until then, what are your plans for this season (aka the best season ever)? Any special traditions your family does?

Styling Kimonos For A Transition Into Fall

Olive Kimono From Pink Blush Olive Kimono From Pink Blush and Garden RosesOlive Kimono From Pink Blush and Barrington Gifts Barrington Gifts St Anne TotePink Blush Kimono Olive and Barrington Gifts Tote

Kimono: Pink Blush | Tank: Wet Seal (old – see similar options at end of post) | Tote: Barrington Gifts | Jeans: T.J. Maxx (old) | Shoes: Target | Earrings: Stella & Dot

Welcome to Mom Style Monday, a monthly link party where my fellow stylish mamas and I share our favorite outfits and trends! There’s a new theme every month, so be sure to join in next month with your own Mom Style! This month we’re sharing our favorite fall transition outfits!

If you follow me on Instagram, you’ll know that I LOVE Pink Blush. I learned of their store when I was pregnant with Royce because they have the cutest maternity pieces, but was even more thrilled to know they have options for all women! This kimono is perfect for a fall transition and I loved it so much that I also got it in black for a more edgier look! I love throwing this kimono over even the simplest, cheapest tank to dress it up and make you feel more put together! If you want a day to night type of look, you can wear a “dressier” tank like the one I have on!

I’ve been wearing these earrings from Stella & Dot like crazy lately! They’re the perfect size and also amp up any look. Another amazing find I have to share with you are these fun lace up heeled sandals! I got them on sale from Target and have been wearing them with everything since – dresses, skirts, jeans, even shorts!

Side note – these beautiful blooms are leftover from an event I had this weekend. I made centerpieces for one of my best friend’s sister’s couple’s wedding shower and got the most BEAUTIFUL garden roses. I love the touch of peach they have in them! If you’re in the Rockford or Chicagoland area and need a florist for your next event, definitely let me know! I absolutely love my major now and getting to create beautiful floral arrangements for others!

Now it’s time to link up! Share your favorite fall transition looks (or any recent outfit post!) and be sure to comment on at least one other blog post in the party. Then join us next month (the last Monday of every month) where we’ll be sharing our favorite fall scarves!

10 #NSale Baby Items You Need to Snag

Nordstrom Sale

Striped 2 piece set | Blender | Diaper bag | Slip on shoes | Firetruck rain coat | Honest Company gift set | “Night Life” tee| Tree bookshelf | Piggy bank | Forest 2 piece set

I’m sure ALL you’ve been hearing about is the Nordstrom sale from your friends and favorite bloggers, but can you really be mad at us? It’s such a good sale and has some of the best brands at prices you can’t beat. What I love the most is that unlike most sales, you can still buy the item after because they aren’t trying to get rid of the products to make room for new. These are NEW ARRIVALS! The prices just increase to normal when the sale is over. Basically, if you come to the party early, you get the food fresh out the oven. If you come late, it’s still good, but not AS good.

I’ve put together my favorite baby items (specifically for a baby boy!) that you’ll want to grab before prices increase ON August 7th. Simply click the link for the item you’re looking for above and let me know if you’d already snagged any of my favorites. Happy shopping!
