The hairstyle that I wear the most is this beachy wave look! It’s great year-round and looks effortless. Because my hair is naturally curly, I’ve never been a fan of tight spiral curls. Recently I switched tools and was pleasantly surprised to find that I actually achieve an even better wave with this $20 iron!
First, I think it’s important to have a wand or curling iron that is the same size from the top to the bottom. My previous one worked was bigger at the top and smaller at the bottom. I love that this one from Conair (Prime eligible and under $25!) gives me curls and waves that look more natural and effortless.
Another tip is to have your hair twisted around the barrel rather than flat. This will not only make your curls/waves look more natural, but also help them last longer!
To achieve soft waves, BRUSH OUT YOUR CURLS! Use a wide tooth comb to loosen them up until they’re not as tight and spiral-looking.
Lastly, if you mess up, don’t feel like you’re doomed. Use a flat iron on low heat (love my T3 through and through) to softly straighten them out. I rarely have to do this, but I often use it on the top part of my hair and near the front so I add length!
