I can’t believe I’m so far along in this pregnancy that we will have a sweet little girl in my arms in less than FOFTY days! Around this time, many moms-to-be are having baby showers and people are asking what they want or need. Building a baby registry can surely be a difficult task with all of the innovative products on the market today. While one mom may tell you that so & so product saved her sanity, others might not have had nearly the same results with it. Even though there’s no single item out there that EVERYONE loves, I’ve compiled a list of a few products that I wish I had for my first baby that we’re definitely using for our second!
My husband will even admit that he did not think this genius invention was going to be as useful as it is. I’m currently pregnant with our second and have a two year old who still loves attention and to be held. It’s no secret that back pain is common during pregnancy, but adding a toddler on your hip makes it ten times worse (I was diagnosed with sciatica which is no joke)! The Tush Baby helps relieve some of the weight of a baby/toddler off of your body. Not only is it great for carrying your child, but also storing baby items when you don’t need to lug an entire diaper bag. I like to think of it as a fanny pack and hip seat all in one. If you want to see it in action and get more details on this product, make sure to check out their feature on Shark Tank on January 6th!

This was an item I so badly wanted with my first but couldn’t justify the price at the time. This time around I KNOW I’ll need one as it’ll put me at ease during nap time knowing she’s safely next to me anywhere in the house. The design imitates the closeness babies have in the womb – so cool, right? It’s also convenient for frequent travelers who may not want to bring an entire pack and play. I was told by other moms that an extra cover is a life saver so we purchased that as well!
The biggest worry I have about having two children is exactly that – juggling TWO children! The public outings (aka Target runs) will be interesting and eventful for all of us I’m sure. My blogger friend recommended this to me since you don’t have to carry the entire car seat in and place in the cart during shopping trips which takes up a LOT of space.
These lactation bars are delicious and good for you! I tried out all three flavors to make sure they were as yummy as they looked and they most certainly are! If we’re being honest, I didn’t expect to like the maple walnut flavor at ALL but to my surprise I really enjoyed it. There’s already packed one in my diaper backpack so I can set myself up for success with breastfeeding 🙂

Cutie Pats from Ryan & Rose
This is a company I’ve basically fallen in love with overnight. I found them on Instagram and was intrigued by their most popular product, the Cutie Pat, which is a pacifier and teether all in one. I stocked up on them during a special sale when they were buy one get one free. I’ve also purchased Cutie Clips (pacifier clips) and their latest invention, the Cutie Tensil (a spoon and fork) recently and have been really pleased with the quality of each.
We knew we wanted to keep baby in the same room as us when she’s a newborn, but still have the extra space for the rare times when we may get to sleep throughout the night. That’s why we knew we had to buy a bassinet. The Halo brand was on the top of my list! My sweet mother in law bought this for us and I can’t wait to use it for a number of reasons. For one, the sides easily come down with just the push of your arm so you don’t have to get completely up. It lets you and baby be as close as possible while staying safe. The mesh sides let you see baby and vice versa. I knew once I tested it inside of Target that it was 100% worth the price.
Jujube Diaper Backpack
Having two kids (two and under) will mean carrying almost double the things and needing to be more hands-on at all times. That’s why this time around I’ll be sporting a diaper backpack so I don’t have a bag sliding off my shoulders. This version is special because it’s completely machine washable! Even if you don’t buy this exact bag, you’ll definitely want one that can easily be wiped down or extra durable for those accidental spills and stains. My very first diaper bag was a cheap one around $30 and it was exactly that – very cheap. One strap broke and some stains never came out of it!
If I’ve left something out, please leave a comment below and tell me what you think we should purchase before baby girl arrives!
